Let Justice Roll: Poverty-Dignity and Decency For All, A challenge to shape public policies that meet the needs of people living in poverty and help them out of poverty.
Living Water - A Vision for Monroe County, New York
from the Greater Rochester Community of Churches
Dear Friends,
There is little doubt that all of us minister to families who have been impacted by the war in Iraq. Soldiers returning from the Middle East, and their friends and families, face the daunting task of going back to "normal life" after experiencing the trauma of fighting. For some the wounds are a visible daily reminder, for many others the wounds lie under the surface; invisible and yet painful.
What do we say, what do we do, how do we help, where is there healing? These are the questions that GRCC's program, DEALING WITH THE HIDDEN CONSEQUENCE OF WAR will address. Dr. Peter Ziarnowski from the VA medical center will open up this topic leaving all of us better able to care for Veterans and their families.
If your church group is interested in presenting a program on dealing with the issues of war, please call GRCC at 254-2570.
Thanks and blessings,
