Ruth Draper Organist


Organist Ruth Draper, presenting a recital on Thursday, June 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary of Third Presbyterian Church, East Avenue at Meigs St in Rochester. The concert is free and open to the public. Music to be performed will include works by J. S. Bach, Petr Eben, Andre Fleury, Leo Sowerby and others. Ruth has served for the past two years as Assistant Organist at Third Church, and this will be her "farewell" recital, as she moves to the west coast to begin doctoral studies at the University of Washington in the fall. The recital will be performed on the large four-manual Austin organ located in the church's sanctuary, one of the largest instruments in Rochester.A reception will follow.
